Women's Holiday Heart Health!
During the holidays, so many things can pull at your heart strings.... pictures of a Christmas past. A child in need of a toy, or perhaps a person in need of a meal.
While you are thinking heart, be sure to take time to keep a check on your heart health during this festive season... filled with so many favorite treats.
But while you are embroiled in the hustle and bustle of the Holiday season, don't forget your own health. In our latest podcast we look at women's heart health. You are familiar with me warning women to keep a check on their health by getting mammograms. Early detection is the key to survival when it comes to breast cancer.
Heart attacks are the number one killer of women in the U.S. I also checked in with a cardiologist from St. Vincent's East, and a young woman who had a heart attack. Now she wants to remind others to stay alert and keep getting checked each year for heart issues.
Her case is amazing. You really need to see it. She says she died for more than four minutes... and says she saw the gates of Heaven.
Doctors want to remind everyone... that during the holidays, it's ok to indulge in moderation... and remember to keep up your regular exercise routine to fend of future heart issue.
Hope you enjoy the podcast!
