World Cup 2014: Belgium edges US 2-1 in extra time
SALVADOR, Brazil (AP) Romelu Lukaku and Kevin De Bruyne scored in extra time Tuesday to give Belgium a 2-1 win over the United States and a spot in the World Cup quarterfinals. De Bruyne gave an attacking Belgium the lead in the 93rd minute, finally getting a shot past U.S. goalkeeper Tim Howard. Lukaku made it 2-0 in the 105th. Julian Green then pulled one back for the Americans in the 107th minute, but the Americans couldn't muster another to send the match to a penalty shootout. The game was briefly delayed when a man ran onto the field in the 16th minute and had to be escorted off.
