On Focus @ 4, we encourage you to let us know what's on your mind with a segment called, "What's up with That?"
April Gwin Rice recently wrote this post on our Facebook page:
"Does anyone really work for the Alabama state medical board? I've been leaving messages for two weeks. No one will return your calls!" Are our issues not important enough?"
Reporter Marissa Mitchell called the Alabama State Board of Medical Examiners main line Tuesday 9:30 a.m. The receptionist, in turn, had the board's accounting director Jane Hartley call Mitchell back. Hartley said calls should be returned within a day or two, as soon as employees can. However, she said it could depend on which department the viewer called. But Hartley admits two weeks without a response is extensive. She encourages Rice, or anyone who doesn't get a timely response, to call again and leave a message or ask for Larry Dixon, the board's executive director.
Dixon can be reached at the main line at (334) 242-4116.
