Young Writers in Birmingham project continues


The Young Writers in Birmingham project continues this week at Inglenook Elementary. {}This is week three of a four-week workshop that brings UAB English students to Inglenook to help close to 100 third and fourth graders write stories that will be published. {}Those books will then be put in the school library and the Birmingham Public Library as well.UAB's Service Learning Office sponsors the workshop- which Birmingham Public Library employee Karnecia Williams worked to make a reality. The books will debut on March 30, 2014, during a reception at the Woodlawn Library. Superintendent Craig Witherspoon will attend.{}
