Your Health: 2-4-13 Heart Attack and marriage
New research suggests marriage may reduce the risk of heart attack in both men and women and at all ages.
Researchers found heart attacks occurred almost equally among men and women, but about 60% higher in the unmarried.
They also found singles were much more likely to die from an acute cardiac event.
Researchers believe it may be because married people may have better health habits and someone to look after their well-being.
