The Heart Guild of Birmingham kicked off a heartfelt holiday today to benefit the American Heart and Stroke Association.
It's 15th anniversary holiday luncheon and fashion show drew in crowds of women to the fundraising event at the Country Club of Birmingham.
It was my honor to serve as host and emcee.
It is all about a fun way to support the association's mission to build healthier lives, free of cardiovascular diseases and stroke.
Kristin Pichel of the Heart Guild of Birmingham says, "it's very easy to encourage people to help out with the heart association because it's such a worthwhile cause."
Diana Salter of the Heart Guild of Birmingham says, "a lot of people don't know heart issues are the number one health issue for women."
The event also featured a holiday market, a silent auction and guest speaker, stroke survivor,
Melisa Zwilling. Plus, super model and star of the Real Housewives of Atlanta, Cynthia Bailey.
