Your Health: 2-15-13 Monster energy drink

Those Monster energy drinks will no longer be classified as dietary supplements.

The Monster Beverage Corp. says it will revise the label on its product to also include the caffeine content.

The new labeling is required by U.S. Food and Drug Administration guidelines for traditional drink products.

The move comes as energy drink makers face increasing pressure to alert consumers to possible dangers of over consumption of caffeine.
