      {}{} One of the biggest expenses for older adults can often be medications.{}{}{}{} But, there is support make seniors can afford them.{}Ashley Lemsky with the Middle Alabama Area Agency on Aging spoke with ABC 33/40's News Anchor/Health Reporter, Linda Mays about the SenioRx Program.{} Lemky offered this information:{}{}{}{}{} SenioRx is a medication assistance program funded through the Alabama Department of Senior Services.{} The services are free. {}{}{} It assists people 55 or older and anyone on social security disability at any age.{}{}{}{} It serves people without drug coverage, those with high out-of-pocket costs, people in the Medicare Part-D gap/donut hole, and those on social security disability in the 24-month waiting period .{}{}{} There is an income requirement for the program for an individual or for a couple.{}{}{}{} It serves Blount, Chilton, Shelby, St. Clair and Walker counties.{}{} For more information call the Middle Alabama Area Agency on Aging at 1-866-570-2998
