{}{} {} Today, coal-miners are being screened for black lung disease. {}{}{}{}{} Birmingham Health Care is conducting the screenings for miners and those retired from the mines. {}{}{}{} A study from the U.S. Department of Labor says more than 30,000 coal miners in Alabama have reported black lung. {}{}{}{} The tests check for dust in your lungs, how you breath and how long you can hold your breath. {}{}{}{} They are taking place at the Residence Inn off Lakeshore Parkway. {}{}{}{}{} The black lung testing for coal miners is going on now until 5:00 this evening. {}{}{}{}
