You probably got it from your hands. {}{}{}{}{} Health experts say frequent and thorough hand washing is one of the most effective ways to stay healthy.{}{}{}{} The Centers for Disease Control says{} after you've touched a thing contaminated with viruses or bacteria, your hands give germs a free ride into your body through your eyes, nose or mouth.{}{}{} Some common illnesses that can be transmitted via the hands include the flu, the common cold and a number of diarrheal illnesses.{}{}{}{}{} Where are you most likely to pick up germs?{}{}{}{} The number one location-- to pick up germs the restroom. {}{} Experts say, most bacteria and viruses prefer warm, wet environments, like a hand towel in the bathroom. {}{}{} But also, they're likely on phones, television remotes, computer key-boards and door knobs.
