Parents who have children entering the sixth grade this year will have to add another item to the checklist. {}{}{}{} Health experts are advising parents to make sure their child gets a vaccination to protect against{}whooping cough. {}{}{}{} It's required for students entering the sixth grade who are age 11 and older. {}{}{}{} Seventy-three cases of whooping cough have been reported in the state so far this year.
