      {} When you think of the cause of a person's a disability, you may not readily think of depression.{}{} But new research shows depression is the second major cause of disability in the world.{} The United Nations' World Health Organization, also referred to as WHO, looked at 2010 data and compared depression with more than 200 other diseases and injuries as a cause of disability.{}{}{}{}{} The WHO found that only a small percentage of people who suffer from the illness have access to proper care.{} {}{} Back pain is the number one cause of disability.{}{}{}{} The WHO has recently launched a "global mental health action plan" aimed at boosting awareness among policymakers.
