Back to School Lunch Ideas
Back to school for your students also means back to school lunches you get to pack and for the first few weeks the P,B,&J isn't too bad. But after awhile it gets a little boring.
Here are some quick, easy, and healthy lunches you can pack for your students!
www.Food.com made a long list of back to school lunch ideas, but we're breaking down the four easiest to make.
1. The ham and cheese rollup:
Spread cream cheese on a piece of deli meat... and voila! You can even add a slice of a green onion to give it added flavor!
2. Everything's better with one of those sweet, Hawaiian rolls. We'll call this the 'Secret Sandwich.'
Take a knife, cut the middle out and roll in deli meat, chicken salad, or even last night's dinner leftovers. It's a lunch time treat that's sure to be eaten and not traded with someone else's kid.
3. Kids love Lunchables, but the cost can add up quickly. So make your own! It takes a few zip close bags.
Pack a slice of pre-made pizza dough or flatbread in a Ziplock - then pack sauce either in a Tupperware container or Ziplock and graded cheese in a separate bag.
It's a less expensive take on a lunchtime classic!
4. The California Roll-wich:
It's a way to sneak veggies in to a yummy snack.
Take a tortilla, add lunch meat, cheese slices, then avocado, lime or lemon juice, tomatoes, and any other veggie your child likes.
It sneaks in at least a couple of vegetable servings.
