Alleged bigamist couple indicted in deaths of Alabama family
HUNTSVILLE, Ala. —
A man who was married to two women has been indicted, along with one wife, in the deaths of the other wife and four family members.
WAFF-TV reports Christopher Henderson and Rhonda Carlson were indicted in Madison County, Alabama.
They face 37 total counts of capital murder in the deaths of five people. The multiple counts cover charges of arson and burglary that resulted in the deaths, including that of an unborn child.
Court documents show Christopher Henderson was getting a divorce from one victim, Kristin Henderson, who was pregnant with his baby.
Authorities say Christopher Henderson and Carlson shot and stabbed the victims before setting their home on fire in August 2015.
Prosecutors declined to comment on the indictment.
It's unclear if Henderson or Carlson has an attorney.
