Family of breast cancer survivor helping children who need it most - using lights

Gina Burns

For the 10th year in a row GraysonValley Lights has set up their show for the Christmas season.

This year like last, they are asking for stuffed animal donations.

The animals go to “Cops We Care.”

The organization helps children in stressful situations.

Last year the Burns family raised 100 stuffed animal donations; this year they hope to double that.

Gina Burns says with so much darkness in the world today, a little light can be a big help.

She is recovering from breast cancer and says it brought her joy during her though times.

"It’s dark and I don’t like that during Christmas time. I want to bring some happiness into the world for just a minute. If I can." said Burns

Santa will be visiting the home for free to anyone on the 16th and 22nd of this month.
