Gadsden motel shooting suspect taken into custody

The man wanted in connection to a Gadsden motel shooting is now in police custody.

Bruce Macon, who is charged with the death of Derick Scott Parham, was arrested by Gadsden Police Wednesday night.

Officers responded to North Albert Raines Blvd. Tuesday evening where they found a man shot multiple times. The man, identified as 28-year-old Derick Scott Parham, later died at a local hospital.

Detectives located a second victim, believed to be at the motel when the shooting happened, suffering from non life-threatening injuries. Macon is being held on $100,000 bond and other charges remain pending.
