Jacksonville PD: Man who killed ex-wife dies in officer-involved shooting
CALHOUN COUNTY, Ala. —
Jacksonville Police say 69-year-old Larry Miller was shot and killed in an officer-involved shooting Tuesday after he killed his ex-wife.
Officers say dispatch received a call from 72-year-old Judy Miller claiming her ex-husband was trying to break into her home. Dispatch heard a gun shot during the call and officers responded to the residence on Cross St.
When officers arrive, Miller was walking in and out of the house erratically, pointing his weapon at officers. Officers' say they told Miller several times to put his weapon down. After he did not, officers felt threatening and shot Miller.
He was taken to RMC Jacksonville, where he later died from his injuries.
