Marion County woman sentenced to 30 years in prison
MARION COUNTY, Ala. —
A Marion County woman charged with murdering a man was sentenced to 30 years in prison.
The sentence, handed down on September 29, was for the death of Timothy Hyde in January 2014. Tonya Renee Dye, 43, reached a plea agreement with Marion County officials in order to secure the sentence.
Marion County Sheriff Kevin Williams says Dye admitted to her crimes shortly following her arrest three months after the murder.
