Pedestrian fatality leads to I-65 N lane closure at Mile Marker 232 near Calera
CALERA, Ala. —
The Shelby County coroner has identified the pedestrian struck and killed on I-65 N as Bruce Reynolds.
The 66-year-old from Montevallo died when he was hit by an 18-wheeler after stepping out of his vehicle.
At around 8:15 p.m. on Tuesday September 12th, state troopers shut down all lanes on I-65 Northbound at Mile Marker 232 near Calera due to a pedestrian fatality.
At around 9:15 p.m., troopers opened up one lane. Troopers have advised drivers to take exit 231 as an alternate route.
