According to the Charlotte Observer, North Carolina was not chosen for a new Toyota-Mazda plant that would employ 4,000 people, leaving Alabama as the only remaining finalist.

Sources say North Carolina does not have the supply chain logistics the companies desire.

The decision is expected to be made public on Wednesday, the report says.

The automakers expect the $1.6 billion facility to be up and running by 2021 about 45 minutes away from Cullman in the Greenbrier community.
