Several DeKalb County arrests made over weekend
DEKALB COUNTY, Al. —
On Friday night March 17, Dekalb County deputies arrested Michael Anthony Wooten, 30, and Daniel David Wooten, 51, of Fyffe on Blackwell Street after receiving a tip from a concerned citizen that led them to the residence.
Michael Anthony Wooten was charged with three counts of rape, three counts of sodomy, interference with child custody, and SORNA Violation. Daniel David Wooten was also charged with rape and interference with child custody.
On Saturday March 18 police discovered Claudio Toscano Mayoral, 30, of Albertville, asleep in the back seat of a vehicle at a residence. Mayoral was arrested and charged with obstructing justice using a false identity, breaking and entering, and criminal trespassing.
Talladega police arrested Derek Alfred Brown, 37, of Odenville, who was found in possession of a stolen eighteen-wheeler truck. Brown was charged with receiving stolen property and criminal trespassing.
Sunday March 19 Dekalb County deputies responded to a call of a woman who had been shot at a Valley Head residence during an altercation. Witnesses report that Roy Miller Barkley III, 50, of Valley Head, was arguing with the victim when a gun went off and injured the woman. The victim was transported to Erlinger Hospital where she remains in critical condition. Barkley was arrested and charged with attempted murder.
