Several people critically injured in major wreck in Chilton County
JEMISON, Ala. —
UPDATE (9:45 PM) Alabama State Troopers tells ABC 33/40 crew on scene that 3 people were injured in the ATV involved wreck along Highway 155.
Another wreck further down the highway involved a car vs truck in a head-on collision.
Troopers said 2 people were seriously injured in that wreck and taken to UAB Hospital, and that another was transported to Children's hospital.
There is no information on the condition of the patient transported to Children's.

Chilton County Sheriff's report that there are multiple wrecks on Highway 155 near Jemison, and to avoid the area.
The Sheriff's Facebook page states that Highway 155 will be shut down for an extended amount of time due to a major wreck, involving a hit and run traffic accident.
Alabama State Trooper Corporal Jesse Thorton said a vehicle struck three ATVs and drove off.
Corporal Thorton said several people were injured and considered to be in life-threatening condition.
There is no immediate confirmation on how many were injured.
Chilton County Sheriff's reported at 8:00 pm that the suspect was now in custody.
Highway 155 is still shut down completely, with ALEA in control of both wreck scenes.
