Sheriff: Manhunt underway for Hoover BB&T bank robbery suspects
SHELBY COUNTY, Ala. —
A manhunt is currently underway for two men involved in a Hoover BB&T bank robbery around 3:45 p.m. Thursday, Shelby County and Hoover authorities confirm.
Hoover Police say one man, wearing a black baseball hat and dark bandanna, jumped the counter and stole an unknown amount of money from the teller drawer at the Meadow Brook Road bank. He then fled in a black Lincoln Town Car, leading police on a short pursuit before wrecking. Hoover Police say two men were seen running from the car.
Shelby County and Hoover authorities describe the other suspect as a man with wavy, long hair, wearing a black long-sleeve shirt. Authorities believe they may be in the Brookhill Circle area of Horizon Condominiums, and they are actively searching the area.
This is a developing story which will be updated with new details as they are available.
