'We will be euthanizing 40 dogs:' Cheaha humane society pleads with community

Cheaha Regional Humane Society says they will have to euthanize 40 dogs on Tuesday, unless other humane societies can step in to help.

It's a dire situation for one Central Alabama humane society.

Cheaha Regional Humane Society tells ABC 33/40 they will have to euthanize 40 dogs on Tuesday, unless they can get other rescue groups to put up some of the dogs.

Cheaha Regional Humane Society representatives say other rescue groups can save them faster than adoptions, but they still need community support through donations and fosters.

You can donate to help cover travel expenses for rescue groups that are willing to pick up the 40 dogs.

Click HERE to visit their Facebook page or call them directly at (256) 241-3647 if you're interested in donating, fostering, or adopting.
