Woman indicted for crash that killed Huffman teen
A woman accused of hitting and killing a Huffman High School student in March will now face criminal charges.
A Jefferson County Grand Jury issued an indictment for Jessica Nicole Abdullah.
The indictment against the 28-year-old alleges Abdullah hit and killed Brieyonne Pearson.
The 16-year-old Huffman High School sophomore had just celebrated her birthday two days before the crash.
Investigators say Pearson was in a car that had been involved in a crash with another car when another driver stopped to offer help. A fourth car then fatally struck Pearson and hit that third car.
Abdullah's bond was set at $30,000.
