A late night on Wednesday caught up to Auburn baseball on Thursday.

The Tigers were flat in a 12-0 loss to Arkansas. Their game with Florida the day before had run into the one A.M. hour on Thursday and they were no match for the Razorbacks.

Three Arkansas pitchers combined to throw the first no-hitter at the SEC Tournament. First baseman Chad Spanberger handled the offense by hitting a home run in each of his first three at-bats. He's the first player to deliver a three home run game at the SEC Tournament.

Auburn played poorly and coach Butch Thompson admitted as much after the game.

"Just all the way around--I guess defense was the only routine thing that we played," Thompson said. "I thought the shots hit early. The first two homers Spanberger hit were crucial. We thought this was go time if we were trying to win something and make something happen in this tournament. This is a great experience for us. We keep learning lessons. I don't think we ever got engaged in the ballgame."
