JSU caps J-Day with late game fireworks
JACKSONVILLE, Ala. —
Quarterback Bryant Horn threw a touchdown pass to Demontez Terry with six seconds left, then the same duo scored on the ensuing two-point conversion to lift the Red team to a 15-14 win over White in Jacksonville State's annual spring football game.
It was a great finishing statement for Horn, who along with Kendrick Doss are the top candidates to be the starting quarterback in the fall. Horn finished 6-14 for 67 yards and Doss complete 8-10 passes for 52 yards and an interception.
Roc Thomas only had two carries, but they were both long touchdown runs (46 yards and 56 yards).
Defensive back TraTra Williams scored a touchdown as well, intercepting a pass from Doss and returning it 81 yards for the score in the first quarter of the game.
