Samford football puts a wrap on spring practice
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. —
Samford football wrapped up it's spring practice with an 80-play scrimmage on Friday morning.
Bulldogs coach Chris Hatcher was pleased with what he saw. Quarterback Devlin Hodges threw three touchdowns, but also was intercepted three times. That's too many mistakes but credit also belongs to the defense that is building play-makers and confidence.
"Our defensive line has some experience to it, our linebackers are a little experienced" Hatcher said. "Overall this will be the youngest team that I've put on the field. This spring was really important to getting them accustomed to playing the way we need them to play to be a good football team come the fall."
