A nod to a couple of high school "All-American's".

Helena's Sam Praytor and Cullman's Jacob Heatherly have spots on the High School All-American list released by CBS Sports/MaxPreps this week.

Heatherly is a first team All-American after helping Cullman reach the Class 6A State Championship Series for the third consecutive year. The pitcher finished 10-1 with a 1.23 ERA. Heatherly was selected by the Cincinnati Reds in the third round of the Major League Baseball draft and signed a pro contract that included a $1.05 million signing bonus.

Praytor was named a second team All-American. The senior catcher helped Helena win the Class 6A State Championship, defeating Heatherly and Cullman in the championship series. Praytor is committed to play baseball at Alabama. He hit .458 with nine home runs and 40 RBI last season.

McGill-Toolen's Bubba Thompson and Decatur's Tanner Burns were also selected to the first team of CBS Sports/MaxPreps All-American list. Burns is committed to play baseball at Auburn.
