UAB's William Lee named to All-Conference USA second team

William "Ha-Ha" Lee is familiar with the Conference-USA honors.

UAB's junior forward was chosen as a second team all-conference pick, the third straight year Lee has earned an "end of the regular season" honor.

Lee was named to Conference USA's All-Freshman team in 2015 and was selected to the all-conference third team last season. He was also named C-USA Defensive Player of the Year in 2016.

Lee leads the Blazers, averaging 13 points and 6.6 rebounds a game. He also averages 2.4 blocks a game, which leads Conference USA.

“HaHa is one of the most versatile players in our league because of his unique ability to influence the game both inside and outside,” UAB head coach Robert Ehsan said. “I think it’s clear HaHa has established himself as one of the top players in our league and he is very deserving of this award.”

UAB is the seventh seed in this week's Conference USA Tournament, which will be played in Birmingham at Legacy Arena and Bartow Arena. The Blazers face No. 10 seed Charlotte at Legacy Arena on Wednesday afternoon at 5:30. The winner faces No. 2 seed Louisiana Tech on Thursday at 5:30 p.m at Legacy Arena.
