Bucs Jameis Winston likes new offensive weapons

The Bucs added tight end O.J. Howard and receiver DeSean Jackson this offseason, raising the offensive expectations

The Tampa Bay Bucs have reinforced the receiving options for quarterback Jameis Winston.

The former Hueytown star got a chance to play catch with first round draft pick O.J. Howard in this week's mini camp.

But the former Alabama tight end is just one of the new weapons. Tampa Bay also added All-Pro wide receiver DeSean Jackson in free agency.

The Bucs finished in the top half of the NFL in passing offense in 2016 with receiver Mike Evans and tight end Cameron Brate on the outside.

The addition of Howard and Jackson have Tampa Bay fans behaving likes kids of Christmas. Winston takes a patient approach and won't let the offseason hype get out of control.

"You've got to execute, all the guys can talk and tell us predict our future, but at the end of the day we've got to get on that field, execute and we've got to play," Winston said. "We come to get better every single day and we've got some great weapons to use this year."
