Jennifer Tubwell Gonsoulin joined ABC 33/40 as an anchor/reporter in September 2016. She is a native of the Mississippi Delta.
She attended college at Ole Miss and majored in Journalism, before transferring to the University of Missouri –Kansas City, where she earned her Master of Arts degree in Educational Administration. She has six years of experience in broadcast journalism and ten years in college administration.
Prior to joining the ABC 33/40 news team, Jennifer was the main anchor and supervising producer for WXXV-TV News 25 in Gulfport, MS. She helped launch and build the news department there. Jennifer, always a fan of the underdog, is proud to have been an integral part of a terrific team that built a small operation into a competitive product that gave the Gulf Coast community another “choice” in news. “I’m not interested in being part of an operation that’s already perfect,” she says. “I prefer putting in the work to help make it the best it can be.” She began her journalism career at WXVT-TV in Greenville, MS.
Jennifer is passionate about children’s literacy, motherhood, her faith, and mentoring young women. She lives in Fairfield with husband Dr. Walter Gonsoulin Jr., daughter Madison, and dog Chewy.
