Recipe #3 Wed. Oct 16: Scottie's Ginger Snap Cookies
Scottie's Ginger Snap CookiesPrep Time: 5 min Cook Time: 8-10 minutesMakes about 4 dozen cookies
10 tablespoons butter
1 cup Sugar
1/4 cup of Molasses
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons of Baking Soda
1/2 teaspoon ground Ginger
1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
2 1/8 Cups all-purpose flour
1/2 cup sugar for rolling the cookies in
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.
In a large bowl, combine all ingredients well.
Form into small balls about 1 inch in diameter. Roll each one in a small bowl of sugar to coat. Place on a baking sheet 2 inches apart.
Bake for approximately 8-10 minutes or until golden brown. Allow to cool slightly before serving.
Can be stored in an airtight container for weeks.
