An entire town is mourning the death of a Ragland High School cheerleader who died in a car crash Monday night. {} It's been just over 24 hours since the accident and her family, friends, and people in Ragland came together to remember her life.{}In a town of just over 1,500 where the schools, library, fire station, and churches sit in {}about a four block radius - a car accident is devastating - particularly when it claims the life of someone just starting out. "She was loved by a lot of people and she always will be," Tristin Poe, a classmate said.An entire town gathered at the United Methodist Church to remember the life of 16-year-old Kristan Cox."Everybody loved her," Darian Foreman, a close friend said. "She was so sweet. She meant so much to everybody in Ragland.""I'm sad, shook up," Hali Oliver, a close friend who was in the car said.14 year old Hali Oliver was in the car accident with her best friend Kristan Monday night. The crash left her with a fractured hip and burns."I mean, I remember the car when we went around the curve," Oliver said. "That's all I remember."She wore Kristan's cheerleading sweatshirt and didn't hesitate to share pictures and memories."She was funny," Oliver said. "She made a joke about everything. She never wanted to be sad."{}The accident happened on Providence Road. Police tell us, the group of teenagers crashed into this tree after coming around a tight curve too fast. Kristan was a passenger and was ejected from the car having no seatbelt on. Her close friends say, the prayer vigil is the beginning of their time to heal. "There weren't a lot of people at school," Poe said. "It was kind of a depressing thing. The hallways were quiet, the kids were crying, the{}teachers were crying. It was really sad."The family says, the teens were on their way to hang out with friends. Two of the teens were treated and released from a hospital.{}Police are still investigating the crash.
