Honda planning to add jobs in Lincoln

Honda Manufacturing of Alabama plans to add 50 jobs and invest $115 million at its plant in Lincoln to help increase flexibility for its auto production. They also say they will go to a 4 day, 10 hour per day work week for many employees starting in January. This will make Fridays available as an overtime day.

These changes will add capacity to the engine assembly area and expand the capabilities for production of the Honda Pilot. Honda has announced a total of $390 million in investments and almost 300 jobs in the last 2 years at its Alabama operations.
