Secret lovers accused of murder to be together

JEFFERSON COUNTY - AL — Cindy Henderson Reese and Jeffery David Brown of Gardendale were concealing an affair, according to Jefferson County Sheriff Office. Wednesday, the duo were formally accused of killing Cindy's husband, Michael Earl Reese.{}

On February 18, Cindy returned home in the 600 block of Banks St in Morris and found the place ransacked. So she called police, who found Michael dead in the kitchen with a gunshot wound. Investigators say evidence reveals Cindy and Brown killed Michael so they could be together.{}

They were arrested Wednesday as Brown was dropping off Cindy following a lunch date. They are in Jefferson County Jail charged with murder, each with a $100,000 bond.{}{}{}{}{}{}

Michael Reese was 40-years old.
