TUSCALOOSA, AL (WBMA) A fraternity at the University of Alabama has started a GoFundMe to help support small businesses during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Delta Sigma Pi told ABC3340 the idea came after classes were moved online and students left town.

"There are so many businesses that hold a special place in the students hearts, whether it be their favorite restaurant. They are just so locally run and the small businesses are really able to give the students that personal care," said Caroline Lahey, Vice President of Community Service for Delta Sigma Pi.
As a result, the frat decided to give back. They hope to raise $5,000 for the Tuscaloosa Chamber of Commerce Small Business Relief Fund.
