Tennis champion Serena Williams and Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian finally made it official on Thursday in a fairytale-themed wedding in New Orleans.
Only two months ago, Wililams and Ohanian welcomed their first baby into the world, Alexis Olympia Ohanian Jr.
Vogue Magazine got exclusive access (and pictures) on the couple's big day. The magazine described the event as "French ball-themed" with "Beauty and the Beast-styler decor." The couple even played Beauty and the Beast music throughout the reception and had their first dance to the song, "Tale as Old as Time."
The couple wrote their own vows, Vogue reported. Ohanian incorporated the fairytale theme into his, calling Serena his queen and Alexis their princess.
"I am so excited to write so many more chapters of our fairytale together," Ohanian said. "And my whole life I didn’t even realize it, but I was waiting for this moment. And everything that I have done, everything that I am so proud of in my career, and in my life, for the last 34 years, pales in comparison to what we’re doing today. And I am so grateful, and I am so in love."
Serena Williams stunned in flowing Alexander McQueen ball gown, but later in the night exchanged it for a Versace cocktail dress and bedazzled Nike sneakers.
Wedding planner Jennifer Zabinski and designer Preston Bailey brought the ceremony and reception to life. In total, Serena Williams made three dramatic dress changes and donned $3.5 million worth of jewelry by XIV Karats.
New Edition and D.J. Mike Wise performed at the reception.
