UPDATE {4:55 p.m.] The driver of the tractor trailer has been identified as 35-year-old Richard Enlow of Franklin, Kentucky. Enlow was not injured during the accident according to Trooper Curtis Summerville.

The 2014 International tractor trailer Enslow was driving struck the back of the John Deere tractor with McAbee inside. The case remains under investigation by the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.

One person was killed Wednesday morning after an 18-wheeler collided with a farm tractor in Cullman County, authorities tell ABC 33/40's Stephen Quinn.

Alabama State Troopers say the driver of the farm tractor died in the crash on Highway 157. The victim has been identified as 45-year-old James McAbee of Danville.

The accident occurred around 8 a.m. and shut down the highway for nearly three hours as crews worked to clear the scene.
