On Thursday, the Cullman County Sheriff's Office Dive Team and the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency's Marine Division pulled two vehicles out of Smith Lake. They were both recovered from the Lions Club Landing area of the lake, according to the Cullman Sheriff's Department's Facebook page.

The 2007 GMC Yukon and a late 80's to early 90's Mercury Grand Marquis appeared to have been in the lake for many years, with the Grand Marquis possibly being in the lake for decades.

Sheriff Matt Gentry said that is an ongoing investigation and they are working with ALEA to determine if the vehicles are stolen. He also indicated that the vehicles were found by fishermen who identified the vehicles on their depth finder before notifying law enforcement.
