3 arrested in human trafficking case

Three people have been arrested in connection with a human trafficking investigation, according to a release from the Birmingham Police Department.
Investigators initially received information on July 23, 2018 of a possible human trafficking victim. After talking with the 16-year-old female victim, it was determined that there were three suspects involved in the case.
Evidence was collected that lead to the arrest of all three suspects.
31-year-old LaCrystal Renae Crawford, of Birmingham, Alabama
44-year-old Tyrone Allen, of Birmingham, Alabama.
36-year-old James Cornelius Harris, of Birmingham, Alabama.
A Human Trafficking warrant has been obtained against each suspect.

Due to the victim’s age and methods of investigation operations, particular details will not be released to protect the victim and the ongoing investigation.
The suspects were taken into custody by the Birmingham Police Department and placed in the custody of the Jefferson County Jail.
