BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBMA) — A 3-year-old child was taken to the hospital after a pool incident reported at a Birmingham hotel Monday night.

Birmingham Fire and Rescue said it responded to Drury Inn & Suites on Grandview Parkway around 10:00 p.m. after a 911 call reported a drowning.

The fire department said the child was taken to Grandview Hospital, but was unconscious at the time.
