Florida man charged in deadly shooting outside Birmingham grocery store

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBMA) — A Florida man was arrested in connection to a deadly shooting in Birmingham last year.

The Birmingham Police Department said 39-year-old Ricky Glover, of Lehigh Acres, was charged with capital murder (shooting into a vehicle) in the death of 24-year-old Zion Taylor.

Taylor was shot and killed Saturday, November 18, 2023, in the 1700 Block of Avenue I.

Hewas found dead inside a car on the street near the M&A Grocery store.

Police said Glover was taken into custodyn Bowling Green, Kentucky on January 10. He was booked into the Jefferson County Jail and was denied bond.
