SHELBY COUNTY, Ala. (WBMA) — A Birmingham man charged with multiple sex offenses was denied bond during a hearing Wednesday.
The Shelby County Sheriff's Office said the "Aniah's Law hearing" for Stanley Andrews was to address the following charges: two counts of Rape 1st, Sodomy 1st, Sexual Torture, Possession of Child Pornography with Intent to Disseminate, and 9 counts of Possession of Child Pornography.

The sheriff's office said prosecutors from the Shelby County District Attorney’s Office presented testimony from an investigator with the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division pertaining to the charges.

Bond on the child pornography charges Andrews face were previously set at $3,405,000 and will remain. The sheriff's office said those charges are not eligible for a denial of bond by statute.
All charges will be presented to a grand jury.
If convicted, Andrews faces a possible sentence of between 10 years up to life on the rape, sodomy, and sexual torture charges, between two years and 20 years on the possession of child pornography with Intent to disseminate charge, and between one year and 10 years on the possession of child pornography charges.
