Man charged in connection to double homicide in west Birmingham

An arrest was made Tuesday in connection to a double homicide in west Birmingham early Sunday morning.

The Birmingham Police Department said 22-year-oldCharles Dunnigan III, of Bessemer, was charged with capital murder in connection to the shooting deaths of28-year-old Damon Thomas and 24-year-old Jacquic Little.

Police said Thomas and Little were found shot inside a home in the1800 Block of Fulton Avenue Southwest just before 2:30 a.m. Both were pronounced dead at the scene.

The Sumter County Sheriff’s Office along with the 17th Judicial Taskforce arrested Dunnigan in York, Alabama.

Police said he will be transferred to the Jefferson County Jail and held without bond.
