Armed father shoots masked gunman at Birmingham McDonald's
Birmingham, Ala — The Birmingham Police Department is investigating a homicide that occurred Saturday night at the McDonald's on Lomb Ave.
Three people were shot and were taken to the hospital, where one later died.
The early investigation shows that a man and his two sons were at McDonald's when a masked man came into the restaurant. This man fired a gun and then the father shot back. The father, one teenaged son, and the masked man suffered gunshot wounds. The father and son suffered non life-threatening injuries and the other man died from his injuries. He has not been identified yet.
Birmingham Police says the father is not facing charges at this point. The victim's motives for initiating the shooting are unclear.
