Birmingham firefighters deploy to hurricane zone

16 members of the department's Heavy Rescue Unit will stage in Dothan, Alabama.
"We're sustainable for 48 hours on our own in any type of environment because we train to deploy to places where the infrastructure is already gone," said Fire Chief Tobias Jones.
The team will conduct search and rescue operations in collapsed structures.
