Blount County shooting suspect in custody after overnight search
BLOUNT COUNTY, Ala. —

Update: Jerico Parker surrendered to Jefferson County Deputies between 7:00 a.m., and 7:30 a.m., Saturday morning, according to Tim Kent, Operations Commander with the Blount County Sheriff's Office.
The overnight search was called off around 2:30 a.m., but a Commander Kent says a perimeter was maintained.
Jefferson County deputies turned over Jerico Parker to Blount County Sheriff's Office authorities and is currently being questioned.
Commander Kent says formal charges are pending.

Commander Kent identified Jerico Parker as the suspect. Authorities were involved in a car chase with Parker before he wrecked on Narrows Road.
Law enforcement are searching for him in the woods.
