Cherokee County, Alabama — Cherokee County Coroner Dr. Jeremy Deaton tells ABC 33/40 that the body of a 23-year-old man from Georgia was recovered from the waters around Little River Canyon around 12:05 p.m. Thursday.

Authorities say they received the call 9-1-1 called at 11:00 a.m. to report a possible drowning at the location.

At this time the identity of the man has not been released.
