The City of Hoover is looking for public input from its residents on its Parks and Public Spaces Plan. According to a press release, that plan will create a vision to help guide decision making in the city for the next 15 – 20 years when it comes to three key areas: blueways, greenways and trails, parks and public spaces and recreational programming.
Officials over the project told us there are 32 public spaces and the city has 20 miles of frontage on the Cahaba River.
Throughout the month of May, there will be opportunities to meet with project team members about the Plan. The week of May 8th, the city will host a series of town hall meetings as another effort to share information and receive public feedback about the Plan. A virtual town hall will be held on May 16th. Project team members will host several “meet me in the park” events, as well as attend other events taking place in Hoover during this time.
